Paul Stevens (Head of Emerging Markets at IG)
Interview Q and A with Paul Stevens:
Q1: As we all know, IG is the global leader in online trading and has a 47-year heritage. What has made – and continues to make – IG so successful?
Throughout our history we‘ve looked to innovate and use up to date technology to enhance our client’s trading experience, to the extent that Champion the Client is one of our Group values. Combining years of experience, being an international FTSE250 listed company and numerous global licences with top tier regulators creates a brand our clients can trust. For me these are two critical elements to choosing a broker, and we‘re a stable highly regulated international business and putting our client first, so that’s why they continue to trade with us.
Q2: Why is IGs business model different to its competition and how does this benefit clients?
We don‘t make our money from clients’ losses. That‘s a key differentiator between us and some of our competitors. Thanks to our internal hedging mechanisms we will manage our exposure to client trading and make a profit from trading fees. For this reason, it’s in our interest to have successful traders as clients so that they continue to trade, thats why we provide so much education and content to assist them.
Q3: What is IGs strategy for the next couple of years?
Our Group purpose is “powering the pursuit of financial freedom for the ambitious” so that very much drives what we are looking to do in the future. We‘re continuing to grow our global footprint, we recently acquired tastytrade in the US for example. As a global fintech, we’re always looking to enhance the client trading experience with additions like our Trade Analytics tool which provides feedback on trading strategies. We currently offer over 18,000 markets but were still growing that range, as we look to fulfill all the trading needs of our clients.
Q4: What made IG decide to partner with WikiFX?
I really like how WikiFX wants to put clients first and ensure that they are given all the information they need before choosing a broker. We operate in the same way with our trading products, we like to be open and transparent on how we operate to drive the best outcome for a client and give them all the tools, education, and analysis necessary to make them successful.
Conclusion:
As a leading online broker, IG has been popular in the industry for many years and offers outstanding trading services. The companys fantastic overall online trading experience contributes to its unshakable status.
We believe that in collaborating with IG, were giving our readers the opportunity to trade with a globally reputable broker and keep up with international market trends in CFD trading.
