Abstract:“My heart is broken. I’m so upset... they took all my money.” Recently, a friend of WikiFX contacted us. He said he was defrauded by FXGLOBAL, a forex & bitcoin broker.

Timeline
1. Two scammers Frank Williams and Michelle Housin contacted the investor though LinkedIn, and claimed they were Forex traders and worked on Bitcoin.
2. The scammers told the investor if he deposited 100$ on FXGLOBAL platform, he could make 1000$ out of it. He could withdraw the fund after 3 days. The investor took the bait and did so.
3. The investor didnt receive the fund but an e-mail after a long wait of 3 days. The e-mail was from FXGLOBAL, stating that the investor has earned 5200$ from those 100$. To withdraw 5200$ the investor needed to purchase another bitcoin worth 100$ in order to withdraw the funds.
4. The investor paid another 100$ but still didnt receive the fund. While the scammer kept asking him to invest more.
5. The investor seeks WikiFXs help, hoping to recover his lost funds and he warns Indian investors do not be defrauded by similar scams anymore.
