Indian Govt. will issue Forex Cards to Hajis for Haj 2023

The Indian Government has planned to make special arrangements for Indian Muslims, this year to make Haj 2023 more convenient and comfortable. According to an official statement. Ministry of Minority Affairs has partnered with the State Bank of India ( SBI ) to provide foreign exchange to the pilgrims.

All Haj pilgrims will be provided a forex cards by State bank of India(SBI). Over Pilgrims will be issued forex cards to use for their expenses during the holy journey. The move is expected to make the pilgrimage more convenient and hassle-free for the pilgrims and ensuring the safety and security of the Hajis. Also Cashless Haj is in line with the government's efforts to promote digital payments in the country.

Hajj occurs in the month of Dhul Hijjah which is the twelfth month of the Islamic lunar calendar. Hajj is an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, and is considered one of the five pillars of Islam. It is mandatory for all able-bodied Muslims to perform Hajj at least once in their lifetime. The significance of Hajj lies in its ability to bring together Muslims from all over the world, regardless of their race, ethnicity or social status, to worship and seek forgiveness from Allah.

In Haj 2023 , 4,314 women are registered who will perform the Haj without a male companion.
