Nach dem Anstieg um 4 % in der vergangenen Woche liegt der S&P 500 nun 9 % über dem Tiefstand vom 12. Oktober. Die Ökonomen von UBS rechnen jedoch angesichts der Risiken nicht mit einer nachhaltigen Aktienrallye.
Der Druck auf die Unternehmensgewinne wird in den kommenden Quartalen noch zunehmen
“Obwohl sich einige Fed-Vertreter zu einer möglichen Verlangsamung des Zinserhöhungsrhythmus geäußert haben, halten wir es für verfrüht, einen Schwenk der Fed zu erwarten. Die Inflation ist nach wie vor zu hoch, die Fed sieht ihre eigene Glaubwürdigkeit auf dem Spiel, und wir erwarten, dass sie die Zinsen so lange aggressiv anheben wird, bis die offiziellen Daten zeigen, dass die Inflation zurückgeht. Selbst wenn die Fed schließlich aufhört, die Zinsen zu erhöhen, sollte man nicht vergessen, dass die Geldpolitik wahrscheinlich noch einige Zeit auf einem restriktiven Niveau bleiben wird.”
“Das Wachstum des Gewinns pro Aktie (EPS) des S&P 500 liegt im Jahresvergleich für das dritte Quartal unter unserer ursprünglichen Erwartung von 3-5 %. Da 70 % der Marktkapitalisierung des S&P 500 Gewinne gemeldet haben, dürfte sich das Wachstum im Bereich von 1-3 % bewegen.”
“Wir glauben, dass der Druck auf die Unternehmensgewinne in den kommenden Quartalen nur noch zunehmen wird. Infolgedessen erwarten wir, dass der S&P 500-Gewinn je Aktie im nächsten Jahr um 4 % auf 215 $ fallen wird. In einer ausgewachsenen Rezession könnte der Gewinn je Aktie auf etwa 200 USD fallen. Dies steht im Vergleich zu den Bottom-up-Konsensschätzungen von 235 USD.”
