Die Federal Reserve dürfte heute die Zinsen um 75 Basispunkte erhöhen. Die Ökonomen der ING vermuten, dass die anhaltende Datenabhängigkeit die Pivot-Spekulationen auf den nächsten Inflationsbericht verlagern könnte, so dass Risikoaktiva anfällig bleiben und der Dollar zulegt.
USD-Index dürfte die Woche oberhalb der Marke von 112,00 schließen
“Wir neigen zu der Annahme, dass der Vorsitzende der US-Notenbank, Jay Powell, einen großen Teil seines datenabhängigen Ansatzes aufgeben und die Rezessionsrisiken gegenüber den Inflationsrisiken betonen muss, um einen deutlichen Abwärtstrend des Dollars zu bewirken. Dafür scheint es jedoch noch zu früh zu sein, und es ist ein riskanter Schritt, wenn man bedenkt, dass es keine Anzeichen dafür gibt, dass die Inflation unter Kontrolle kommt.”
“Da die Märkte immer noch in der Schwebe sind, vermuten wir, dass das Gleichgewicht der Risiken für den Dollar heute nach oben gerichtet ist. Diese Dynamik wird durch eine stark inverse Zinsstrukturkurve, die Instabilität des Aktienmarktes und den Mangel an Alternativen zum Dollar bei Devisen angesichts der makroökonomischen Unsicherheit (insbesondere in Europa und China) unterstützt.”
“Auch wenn es sicherlich eine knappe Entscheidung ist, sehen wir den DXY die Woche über der 112,00-Marke schließen und in den kommenden Wochen zu den Höchstständen von 113,00+ zurückkehren.”
