Abstract:Moomoo app makes its debut in Malaysia, offering investors a platform for Malaysian and US stock trading, with the added incentive of a limited-time promotion providing a free Apple share.
Moomoo, an integrated investment super app, has recently debuted in Malaysia, presenting investors with a user-friendly and dependable avenue for investing in both Malaysian and US stocks.
Futu Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Moomoo MY) stands as one of the pioneering global digital brokerage firms to secure the Capital Market Services License from the Securities Commission Malaysia. This authorization permits the provision of securities and derivatives trading, along with clearing services.
As part of its initial offerings in Malaysia, Moomoo is rolling out exclusive promotions for Malaysian investors, including the distribution of a free Apple Inc. (AAPL) share for a limited period.
The rewards structure entails:
Account opening reward: Access to Malaysia Stock Level 1 Market Depth data and US Stock Level 2 Market Depth data.
Tier 1 reward: Successful opening of a Moomoo universal account, depositing RM500 (and maintaining assets for 30 days) to receive RM100 in cash and stock cash coupons.
Tier 2 reward: New users opening a Moomoo universal account, depositing RM8,000 (and maintaining assets for 30 days) until March 31, are eligible to redeem a free Apple share.
Additionally, ongoing promotions on the app offer users the opportunity to earn points by completing tasks, which can then be redeemed for various rewards, ranging from Grab vouchers to limited edition merchandise.
During the inauguration event in Kuala Lumpur, Dennis Jee, COO of Moomoo Malaysia, highlighted Moomoo's success in Singapore since its 2021 entry, becoming one of the top investment apps with one in four Singaporeans now utilizing the platform for investments.
Meanwhile, Jee also emphasized the platform's amalgamation of accessibility, an extensive toolset, and educational resources, offering an investment experience that transcends conventional limitations. Jee expressed the intention to reshape the investment landscape by providing Malaysian investors with the essential tools and resources for not only participation but also success in financial markets.
Robin Xu, Senior Partner and Senior Vice President of Southeast Asia and Oceania at Futu Holdings Limited, underscored Moomoo's entry into the Malaysian market as a manifestation of the commitment to leveraging technology to empower diverse financial markets. Xu acknowledged the growing interest in self-directed investing in Malaysia, emphasizing the clear demand for innovative investment solutions.
