Abstract:More than 30 Pokémon have been brought to life for "Pokemon Detective Pikachu," the new movie starring Ryan Reynolds and Justice Smith.
“Pokémon Detective Pikachu” arrives in theaters on Friday.The movie stars Ryan Reynolds as the voice of the titular pocket monster, with Justice Smith co-starring as Pikachu's human partner.Over the past few months, trailers for the movie have given us a look at many of the Pokémon coming to the movie, which we've rounded up below.Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.“Pokémon Detective Pikachu” will bring dozens of iconic Pokémon to the big screen this week, rendering them in live action for the very first time.In both “Detective Pikachu” and the Pokémon games, Pokémon live alongside humans in place of animals, making them a common sight on city streets and in nature. The trailers for “Detective Pikachu” are chock full of hidden Pokémon and fun nods to the games that inspired the film.The film will star Ryan Reynolds as the voice of the titular character, with Justice Smith as his human partner. Luckily, we've done the extra work to slow the trailers down and see just how many were brought to life in the previewers. Through about half a dozen trailers, teasers, and TV commercials so far, I've counted no fewer than 30 Pokémon.
