LONDON (Reuters) - Britain's chief Brexit negotiator Olly Robbins has warned that lawmakers face the choice of Prime Minister Theresa May's deal or a long extension of the March 29 deadline for leaving the bloc, ITV news reported citing a private conversation.
ITV news said its correspondent overheard Robbins talking at a hotel bar in Brussels on Monday.
It said Robbins said he expected lawmakers in March to be presented with backing a reworked Brexit deal or a potentially significant delay to Brexit.
“The issue is whether Brussels is clear on the terms of extension,” he was overheard saying. “In the end they will probably just give us an extension.”
