MÜNCHEN (dpa-AFX) - Die deutschen Autohersteller und ihre Zulieferer blicken angesichts sinkender Nachfrage pessimistisch auf die kommenden Monate. Die Geschäftserwartungen der Autobranche haben sich innerhalb eines Monats deutlich verschlechtert, wie das Münchner Ifo-Institut am Donnerstag mitteilte. Der entsprechende Index sank von September auf Oktober von minus 6,3 auf minus 35,3 Punkte. Die Sorge um eine ausfallende Nachfrage trifft nun auch die Autohersteller und ihre Zulieferer, erklärte Oliver Falck, Leiter des Zentrums für Industrieökonomik und neue Technologien.
Die Hersteller meldeten sowohl rückläufige Aufträge als auch sinkende Nachfrage, obwohl der derzeitige Auftragsbestand nach wie vor hoch sei und die Unternehmen demnach in den kommenden Monaten sogar mehr produzieren wollen. Doch erwarten die Hersteller laut Ifo für die nächsten Monate auch sinkende Erträge. Einbrechende Nachfrage und steigende Material- und Produktionskosten verschlechtern selbst bei erhöhten Verkaufspreisen die Ertragslage, sagte Falck dazu laut Mitteilung. Die Zulieferer wollen laut Ifo schon jetzt weniger produzieren.
