According to regulatory information, Sumitomo Mitsui’s office in Malaysia is at Level 12 (B&C) Main Office Tower, Financial Park Complex, Jalan Merdeka, 87000 Labuan F.T.A team is sentto this place for a field investigation. 

According to the address, the survey team came to Jalan Merdeka Street and found the Financial Park Complex. Adjacent to a shopping center, the 17-storey office building is the tallest on Labuan Island. The office building is of some age and the style of each floor is much the same.

The Surveyors entered the building and took an elevator to the 12th Floor, where a directory sign in the corridor revealed that Sumitomo Mitsui was indeed based there. According to the sign, the surveyors found the company’s office. They looked through the transparent glass door into the office and decided that it was a 10-people-or-so sized firm. Unfortunately, the surveyors did not get permission to get inside and photograph the interior of the office.

Conclusion

A field investigation confirmed that the actual address of Sumitomo Mitsui’s Malaysian office was consistent with its regulatory address. Investors are advised to resort to their good judgement after consulting the said above.
