Abstract:eToro introduces 'Fin-Tech,' a revolutionary portfolio offering investors long-term exposure to leading companies in the fast-growing $1.5 trillion fintech sector.
eToro, the famous trading and investing platform, today announced the launch of “Fin-Tech,” a unique portfolio aimed to provide retail investors with long-term exposure to top firms shaping the future of fintech. This launch is a watershed moment for eToro and the fintech industry, demonstrating the fast-expanding significance of technology in the financial sector.
The fintech business, which is expected to have a market capitalization of $1.5 trillion by 2030, is disrupting the conventional finance industry by offering new tech-based financial services. Money transfers, mobile check deposits, peer-to-peer lending, digital insurance, and trading and investing are among the services available. The fintech sector is particularly devoted to meeting the financial requirements of the unbanked and underbanked communities, who are often underserved by conventional banking institutions.
Dani Brinker, Head of Investment Portfolios at eToro, remarked, “The fintech industry has arguably become one of the most disruptive trends of the 21st century. It provides an interesting diversification opportunity for investors by combining the vitality of the burgeoning tech industry with the resilience of traditional financial institutions.”
This novel portfolio by eToro features a meticulous selection of top-performing fintech companies from a broad range of verticals within the fintech ecosystem. These include digital banking, insurtech, trading, and companies like Playtech. This move underlines eToro's commitment to providing its users with opportunities to invest in companies driving the mission of democratizing global financial markets.
To curate this portfolio, eToros team of investment experts handpicked 40 fintech companies leading the fintech revolution, considering several factors such as market capitalization, liquidity parameters, and analyst ratings. The initial allocation includes Block, Lemonade, Adyen, and Xero, as well as rising stars like Stone, Nexi, and SoFi. The portfolio will be rebalanced annually to maintain its relevance and efficiency.
Fin-Tech is the latest addition to eToro‘s diverse offering of traditional finance portfolios such as InsuranceWorld, Private Equity, The Big Banks, and Real Estate Trusts. eToro’s Smart Portfolios aim to offer investors exposure to various market themes by bundling together several assets under a defined methodology. Following a passive investment approach, these portfolios are long-term investment solutions that offer diversified exposure without the burden of management fees.
Investments in the Fin-Tech portfolio can begin from as low as USD$500, and investors have access to a suite of tools and charts to track the portfolio‘s performance. eToro’s social feed keeps them abreast of the latest developments in the sector. Currently, this portfolio is not available to US users.
