Inspection Reason
In recent, many investors made telephone calls expressing their hope forexposure of more brokers whose regulation addresses were fake. In order to help more investors identify such investors, the surveyor decided to went to EWGFX’s office in Australia for more first-hand information.
Office Building
According to the regulation information, the Australia licensed broker EWGFX was located at Level 14, 309 Kent Street, Sydney NSW 2000. The surveyor decided to visit the broker.
Guided by the regulation information, the surveyor found the quite modern office building.
The surveyor entered the building and read the floor guide in the lobby on the first floor.
Featured Photos
It was known from the guide that the office located on the floor indicated by the regulation address was not EWGFX’s office but a shared office named Serviced Offices International.
Since there may be some differences between information on the guide and the reality, the surveyor, in order to ensure inspection quality, took the elevator ro the 14th floor and found the entire floor belonged to the shared office. The surveyor learnt from the shared office’s receptionist that EWGFX didn’t have an office here.
Conclusion
It was confirmed after the surveyor’s inspection that the real address of EWGFX’s office in Australia was different from its regulation address. The broker’s investment and advisory license (RN: 427848) was suspected to be a cloned license. Since the all of the broker’s regulation was invalid at present, please keep cautious.
