In the retail forex market, there are a good number of regulated dealers in Australia. Sometimes, it happens to one regulatory address registered with multiple brokers. In order to provide investors with more comprehensive information, the survey team this time visited bogus Alpha Securities, a broker based in Sydney, Australia.
Regulatory information
According to the regulatory information, the broker bogus Alpha Securities has the normal financial license issued by ASIC and located at Suite 301, 10 Bridge Street, SYDNEY NSW 2000.
On-site visit
The survey team followed the address on the regulatory information to the office building at 10 Bridge Street, Australia. The building looks quite new with convenient location.
Entering the building, the team didn’t find the logo of bogus Alpha Securities on the directory of lobby. Later, the team went to the 3rd floor where they only saw the logo of Alpha Securities. However, there was no logo of bogus Alpha Securities either.
Conclusion
The survey team confirmed after the on-the-spot visit that there is no office of bogus Alpha Securities at the address mentioned in the regulatory information. Actually, the broker is suspected to be the cloned one from its name. Please be prudent when trading with this broker.
